The choice of model primarily depends on the temperature of the water at the source. All portable models operate in the same way but offer different heating capacities:

• 10L Model: highest heating performance
• 7L Model: intermediate heating performance

The choice mainly depends on the temperature of the water at the source. For example:

• In summer (water at 15–20 °C): the 5L model is generally sufficient for a comfortable shower.

No, our gas tankless water heaters are not convertible between fuel types. Each unit is specifically designed and configured at the factory to run on either Propane (LP) or Natural Gas (NG), and cannot be modified to switch between the two. Using the incorrect gas type can be dangerous and will void the warranty. Please ensure you select the correct model for your fuel source at the time of purchase.

We offer three portable and recreational models (Onsen 5L, 7L & 10L) designed for outdoor use. Similar to a BBQ, these must be used in a well-ventilated area and not in an enclosed space.

For indoor use, two residential models are available (Onsen 14L and 26L). These are direct-vent models that draw air from outside to burn the gas. They are installed with a vent pipe for gas exhaust and an intake pipe for air supply. Please note that venting and air intake kits are available on our website. Onsen portable water heaters require a minimum water pressure of 10 PSI for the flame to ignite. To meet those needs, you can rely on city water pressure, a water pump or a gravity-fed system. Note that the water heater may not work properly on a gravity-fed system if the water pressure doesn’t meet the minimum requirement of 10 PSI. In that case, you’ll need to install a water pump.

To prevent freezing damage, it’s important to properly drain your Onsen water heater by blowing compressed air into the water inlet of the unit. In doing so, all remaining water trapped in the piping of the heat exchanger will drain from the water outlet. Once that step is completed, store your Onsen unit in a warm area until spring.

Yes, the pump is equipped with a pressure switch. This means that when a tap or showerhead is opened, the pump detects the drop in pressure and automatically starts pumping water.

The pump can push water up to approximately 100 feet (30 meters), but its maximum suction capacity is limited to 25 feet (7.5 meters) horizontally and 6 feet (1.8 meters) vertically. To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended to keep the water line as short and as level as possible, and to avoid steep inclines.
