The Onsen 7L Portable Tankless Water Heater delivers instant hot water on demand with increased heating power and flow capacity, making it well suited for camping, hunting camps, off-grid cabins, horse trailers, pet washing stations, and other outdoor applications. Designed to heat late spring and early fall inlet water temperatures (around 45°F / 7°C and warmer), the 7L offers greater heating capacity for cooler inlet water and is well suited for temporary outdoor installations.
Fueled by propane, the Onsen 7L provides 50,000 BTU/hr of heating power, runs on a standard 20 lb BBQ propane tank, and can provide up to 10 hours of hot water runtime (usage varies by temperature settings, inlet water temperature, and flow rate).

Onsen portable water heaters come in three models, each with different heating capacities: the 10L offers maximum heating power, the 7L provides moderate heating, and the 5L has basic heating power. The temperature of the incoming water affects how much power is needed to heat it. For example, during the warmer summer months when water temperature is around 20°C (typical for Canada), the 5L model will deliver comfortably hot water. However, in the colder seasons, when water temperature drops to about 10°C, you'll want a 7L or 10L model for sufficient heating to reach a comfortable temperature.
If your incoming water source will be a garden tap, which is connected to pressurized municipal water, a pump will not be necessary. However, if your incoming water source will be a lake or rain barrel, you will need a pump to pressurize the incoming water.
